General COVID-19 Protocol
Members coming to the club will need to have a reservation either a tennis court booking, a Pool reservation or a Group Exercise Class Reservation to enter the building
Members will enter through the main entrance using the electric double doors.
Members will check-in at the Reception Desk confirming their reservation or court booking and proceed outdoors down the front left-hand hallway.
Members will be asked to wash or sanitize their hands upon entering. Family bathrooms in the front hallway will be available for hand washing only.
Members will be required to wear face coverings while walking to and from the club, entering and exiting the facility as well as in all common areas including walkways and when the 6 feet distance can not be maintained
Please adhere to signage on personal hygiene and for Self Certifying by answering the following questions before coming to the club:
- Do I have a fever
- Do I have any symptoms related to COVID-19
- Have I been in close contact with anyone with COVID-19
- If a Healthcare Worker or First Responder have I had close contact with anyone with COVID-19 without PPE
- Have I been asked to self quarantine by your doctor or local public health official
- If yes to any of the above do not come to club
- Parents are responsible for screening children
- Follow the Member Code of Conduct:
BE APART - Maintain Social Distance of 6 feet
BE RESPONSIBLE - Wear a Mask at all times when 6 feet distance can not be maintain (except in the water)
BE CLEAN - Wash or sanitizer your hands often
BE KIND - We are all in this together please be kind and respectful to other members and staff
There will be no cash transactions. Members must have a credit card on account to make purchases
Please try not to congregate and adhere to social distancing guidance wherever possible.
Guests will not be allowed during our initial reopening phase even members of same household. We will re-evaluate as restrictions are lifted.
Outdoor Pools - Rules + Protocol
To adhere to capacity limits members wishing to use the pool must reserve a Pool Pod or book a swimming lane for early morning Lap Swimming Water Walking, or Deep Water Time according to the schedule below. Water Exercise participants can register at check-in.
- 8 am - 9 am Main Pool - Lap Swimming (8 spots/1 per lane), Water Walking + Deep Water Time (4 spots each) and as of July 13th Water Aerobics on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8 - 8:50 m.
- 9:00 am - 12 noon
- 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm
- 4: 00 pm - 7:00 pm
Pods around the Wading Pool, 3 Foot Pool, and Main Pool will include 2 lounge chairs and be physically distanced 6 feet from the next Pod. CLICK for map of pods with corresponding numbers.
Pods at the Adult Only Pool will have both single lounge and double lounge chair pods 6 feet distanced from the next pod. CLICK for map of pods with corresponding numbers.
Pods will be available around all pools as well as on the grass areas outside the pool deck when necessary. Grass areas will not have lounge chairs but will be marked by flags to keep 6 feet of distancing.
Reservations will be made through the Cedardale Online Portal or Mobile App
The entire outdoor pool facility will be closed between reservation times for cleaning.
1 Pool reservation per day per account. If there are available pods you may book a second reservation by contacting the club at 978-373-1596 and selecting the option for the Outdoor Desk. These additional reservations will be accepted 45 minutes prior to the start of a reservation time block.
Reservations can be made 1 day in advance with booking starting at 7:30 am. Please cancel your reservation if you can not attend so another family can enjoy the pool. We reserve the right to implement a cancellation fee if reservations are being abused. Updates 6/29/20
- Primary account holders are the only ones who can book a reservation. Please add all attendees at time of reservation. If you need to make a change in the attendees please do so at time of check-in. All must be from the same household and be active members.
Parents must consider if their child/children are capable of staying at least 6 feet apart from people they don't live with before coming to Cedardale Pools
During busy days we many need to implement controlled swim times to maintain capacity limits. An example of this would be people with last names beginning with A - K can swim for 15 minutes then people with L -Z can swim for the next 15 minutes. It is not our intention to do this except under extremely hot conditions.
A maximum of 21 children in the Sprayground at one time while maintaining 6 feet distance between non same household members.
Members must only use their reserved pool pod. Personal belonging must remain inside reserved pod.
Hand Sanitizing stations and sanitizing wipes will be available throughout the outdoor facility
Masks will not be required in the pool or when 6 feet of distance can be maintained
Masks will be required in all common areas and walkways and when entering and exiting.
There will be no use of the club’s swim bubbles. Swim bubbles will be available for purchase.
Members are allowed to bring their own goggles and swim aids - bubbles or arm bands are the only devices allowed in Cedardale pools. We highly recommend marking your swim equipment.
No equipment can be brought from home such as lounge chairs or pool toys. Approved ADA equipment is allowed for personal use.
Do not share any swim aids with someone outside your household.
The playground is now open. Please wash or sanitizer hands prior to and after use. Maintain 6 feet for social distancing or wear a mask (age 2+) is 6 feet is not able to be maintained. The playground will be sanitized between reservations periods. Use at your own risk.
A cleansing shower is required prior to using the pool. Showers are available in the bathhouse on the hill and the restrooms by the Outdoor Cafe.
At the end of a reservation period all members will exit the facility through the large gate next to the outdoor shed.
There will be no Swim Team this summer. Junior Swim Clinics will begin the week of July 13th..

Tennis Rules + Protocol
Players must wear masks walking to and from the club, entering and exiting the building and walking to and from the courts. Masks are not required during play.
All players accessing the outdoors for tennis must have a court booked or be registered in a lesson or clinic
All bookings to be done through the Cedardale Online Portal or Mobile App
Members must wash or sanitize hands prior to and after playing
Sanitizer wipes will be located at the entrance of each set of courts
Players need to bring their own filled water bottles. There will be no shared water jugs on the courts
Players need to bring and leave with their own tennis balls and cans
Congregating before or after play is highly discouraged
Maintain social distancing of 6 feet when taking a break
Players are to exit the facility through the Front Hallway and out the first single door to avoid crossover traffic.
Group Exercise Classes
Masks are required while walking to and from the building, entering and exiting and while walking to class location.
Masks are not required to be worn during class
Participants are required to exit the building through the Front Hallway.
All class registration will be done through the Online Portal or Mobile App
Classes are limited to 9 participants with a 24 hour sign-up. Please sign up for only 1 class per day.
No rentals or equipment will be allowed during Phase 2
Equipment may be brought in for hardtop area but not shared
Minimal POS on-account transactions including goggles, sunscreen, tennis balls, and swim bubbles will be available.
Limited menu will be available with shakes and pre-packaged items.
Closed for food service but members are encouraged to use for picnic/eating area
Cleaning + Disinfecting Protocol
Outdoor pools will be cleared and closed twice a day followed by touch-point and deck chair cleaning. Chairs and high traffic touchpoints will be cleaned after closing as well. Electrostatic sprayers and foggers & other surface disinfectant systems will be used on pool deck chairs and any other equipment in high usage areas.
Cleaning is done with BruTab 6S a US EPA registered disinfectant and sanitizer & Hi-Con a disinfectant cleaner used in hospitals, medical offices, and other healthcare facilities.
