NEW GROUP EXERCISE CLASS REGISTRATION POLICY

As of Monday, December 16th we are asking all Members to register for Group Exercise classes.  This policy decision is based on Member feedback and the need to enhance communications when emergencies or storm situations arise.  With class registration we feel this will enhance the Member Experience by providing a safer and more effective workout. It will ensure all class participants will have the space and equipment needed for an effective and enjoyable workout.  It will also allow us to communicate directly with those registered for a class in the case of storm, facility or instructor related cancellations/delays as well as allow us to provide special event information to those specifically interested in certain types of classes.

You may register for a class 24 hours in advance in one of the following ways:  

 

Below are answers to anticipated questions.  We expect an adjustment period so please feel free to ask any Group Exercise Instructor or Cedardale Staff Member to assist you with class registration if you are experiencing difficulty.

Why are we requiring class registrations?


How do I sign up for classes?
You can sign up for classes on the Cedardale Health + Fitness Online Portal or the App. The app is available in the app store.  To access the app you must first log in to the Online Portal.  If you do not remember your login or password please select the Access My Account button on the lower left hand side. It will send a temporary password to the email Cedardale has on file for you.  If you are not able to access the member portal and have difficulty setting a password, please call or visit our Reception desk and we can help verify your information.


How far in advance can you register for class?

Group Exercise Class registration opens 24 hours ahead of each class. Registration will remain open until 15 minutes before class starts. 


Is it required for all classes?
Yes, we ask that you please sign up for all Group Exercise classes. 


What if I registered and I cannot make it?
If you cannot make the class you registered for, go to our app and select that class. At the bottom of the screen, select “Edit Registrations” and tap the “X” next to your name. The app will ask you to confirm that you are cancelling your registration and you will be removed from the class roster. If you are unable to get to your phone or use that app, please call us and we can remove you from the class list. This will allow another member the option to take the class.

Is there a wait list?
Yes, there is a wait list, but it is not yet accessible through the Online Portal or the app.  If a class is full and you would like to be placed on the wait list please call the club at 978-373-1596 and ask to be put on the wait list for the class you are interested in.


Is there a fee to cancel?
There is currently no fee to cancel a class. If you repeatedly don’t show up for class, however, you will be contacted by our Membership Services Director to help remedy the situation. 


How long will my spot in class be held?
We are requesting that all registered members are in the studio at the start of class. If you are not in your place at the start of class, your spot will be given to a member that is waiting.
