Class Descriptions

ANMA MASSAGE

Anma is a combination of meridian stretching techiques, breathing exercises, QI exercises and self-massage.  This practice is intended to prevent and treat dysfunctions of the body related to abnormal circulation of "vital energy", more commonly known as "Ki" in Japanese or "Qui" in Chinese.  The techniques of this program is based on Asion Bodywork by way of stimulation of acupressure/acupuncture points.

The group session begins with stimulation of the upper body, especially the face (forehead, arches earts, eyelids, nose, mouth).  Then we descend to the bottom of the body passing through the neck and shoulders; we will focus on the major points and channels including the hands, the wrists, the legs, and generoulsy ending in the feet.  All participants are fully clothed during the session.

 

BARRE

Barre classes mix elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and functional training and brings them together to create a class of small controlled movements and isometric contractions to tone legs, arms and abs. Sculpt your body like a dancer, improve your posture and get stronger! Wall mounted barres along with small equipment is used to provide a full body workout.

BARRE FUSION

A little pilates, dance, yoga, and functional training come together to create a class of small controlled movements and isometric contractions to tone legs, arms, and abs.

BODYPUMP™

Strength training for your entire body. This class challenges all the major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. You choose the weight and we’ll inspire you to get the results you came for!

CARDIO KICKBOXING

Punch, strike, and kick to the beat in a class that helps develop better balance, flexibility, coordination and endurance.  No equipment needed.

CHAIR YOGA

CHAIR YOGA is a gentle form of Yoga that can be done seated or standing next to the chair for support. Great for the individual who has limited abilities to stand for periods of time or has difficulties getting up and down from the floor.

GEARS + BEERS

GEARS & BEERS will be held once a month and will start with a 60 minute ride and will end with at Courtside for a little apres-spin social.

HIIT

High Intensity Interval Training. HIIT is a training technique that requires all out quick, intense bursts of exercise with periods of active recovery. This style of training keeps your heart rate up and is a great class to sprinkle in to your weekly routine.

INTRO’S (101’s)

Scared to take your first class?  Don't worry!  Intro classes will be held in the first 7 days of each month.  Intros will be offered for Yoga, Spinning, BodyPUMP, and more.

MANTRA MEDITATION

Choose to make a healthier change with your inner awareness. Expand your mind, harvest focused attention and awaken to your human existence. Witness the complex nature of your mind and begin to steer it into the present moment. There are many good reasons why we meditate, established by the J.A.H.A. Journal of American Heart Association, Harvard Health and the Chopra Center. Meditation postulates boundless amount of positive benefits such as increase life expanse, strengthen our ability to focus on tasks, control insomnia, anxiety, addictions, pulmonary disease (COPD) and reduces cardiovascular disease. This class will provide ancient yogi breathing techniques, perfect posture, surveillance of the mind, chant mantras in Sanskrit and amass inert energy.

MUSCLE BURN

This 30-minute workout will hit all the major muscles to improve strength, balance, mobility, and flexibility.

PEDAL AND PUMP

Power through a 30-minute Spinning session followed by 30 minutes of strength training to maximize your hour and get lasting results.

PiYo

PiYo takes basic yoga poses and syncs them to a beat. Work on balance, strength, and flexibility as you get your heart pumping in this fun and unique class.

POund

 

Cardio jam session with a great beat is what Pound is all about! A very different (and fun), rhythmic and drum inspired class using lightly weighted sticks to work out to the beat of the music and make you forget that you are exercising!

POWER YOGA

Take your yoga practice to the next level. Designed to make you sweat, this class will improve strength along with flexibility.

PUMP EXPRESS

A shortened version of a traditional BODYPUMP class.  Work your full body in just 45 minutes.

QI-YOGA

This class is an energy enhancing lineage practice using specific Hatha yoga postures with monolithic (pranayama) breath control to complement the manufacture of Qi (energy) cultivation.  It is highly beneficial for purifying the body of all perceptions, charging the immune system and increasing your endurance level for longevity.

 

QXT

Qigong Cross Training is a modified fitness program based on Taoist yoga combined with internal martial arts movements. This has an internal component that opposes regular fitness programs. This consists of internal callisthenic postures used to refine the center core as to toning or contrasting the external physique. For health, QXT is a program for preserving fine health, flexibility and dexterity. It pertains mindfulness meditation, movement, standing postures and ligament stretching for internal strengthening of the musculoskeletal system which constructs power, strength and balance. QXT, an internal alternative for maintaining fitness on top of your game.

RESTORATIVE YOGA

Relax, calm, and heal after a long week in this 90-minute class.  This is a slower-paced yoga class designed to help you decrease tension in your muscles.

RHYTHM CYCLE

Cycle to the beat in this fun and challenging workout.

SPINNING

The ultimate low impact, high energy, calorie burning workout. If you’re a professional athlete or new to class, YOU control the speed and YOU control the intensity! Instructors will take you up and over hills, sprinting down straight aways and riding strong. To insure that you get a bike, you must sign up online up to 24 hours before class begins. New riders are asked to arrive 10 minutes prior to class starting to review proper safety and set up.

STEP IT UP!

An interval class that mixes step aerobics with strength training in one incredible workout.

STRETCH & ROLL

Maximize your results in the gym by stopping to stretch and roll. This 30-minute class will incorporate full body stretches and foam rolling, band work to enhance your recovery and improve muscle function.

STRONG

STRONG by Zumba® combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio, and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. In a one-hour class, you will burn calories while toning arms, legs, abs, and glutes. STRONG by Zumba® uses fast-paced rhythms like EDM, Hip-Hop, and fusion genres that change regularly.

SUNRISE SALUTATIONS

End your week with a slow flow yoga to relax and regenerate before the weekend.

TABATA

Push to your max for 20 seconds followed by 10 seconds of rest.  Improve athletic performance and burn calories all day long.

TRX CIRCUIT

This class will work on core, flexibility, mobility, endurance, and strength with a variety of exercises using TRX suspension training and other equipment.

WALK & ROLL

Take a break from your day to walk, chat, and foam roll. This class will meet on the track.

YIN YOGA

Yin yoga is based on the concept of yin and yang, opposite and complementary principles in nature. In the body, the relatively stiff connective tissues (tendons, ligaments, fascia) are yin, while the more mobile and pliable muscles and blood are yang. A Yin yoga class consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that "work" the various parts of the body more prone to stress- shoulders, hips, pelvis, legs, and the spine. The use of supportive props will be incorporated. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer.

YOGA

Yoga uses breathing techniques, exercise and meditation to help improve health and happiness. Benefits include increased flexibility, improved respiration, circulatory health, balance and vitality. Enjoy the quiet time and the feel of your body as it moves through space. Enjoy feeling the length and strength of your muscles as you listen to your breath and discover a sense of calm. Practice Yoga ‘as needed’ or daily; both are beneficial to living well in an increasingly stressful world.

YOGA STRETCH

This is a great class for beginners.  Learn the basic poses of yoga and dive into some deep stretching.

ZUMBA

This class fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. And you will have fun doing it!

FOD - FITNESS ON DEMAND

Fitness on Demand (FOD) is our newest way to experience group classes on your own! It allows you to choose a style of workout, the length of time and the instructor while using the equipment in our studios. Choose cardio, strength, flexibility, mind-body or more. FOD delivers consistent high quality fitness media and programming and will be available in the Main and Cycling Studios when the studio is available.
