Fall Prevention Program - Next Session
This new program to be taught by Margine Galanos, OTA is based on nationally accredited fall prevention programs: STEADI by the CDC, Otago Exercise Program and Fallproof by Debra Rose, PHD.
The goal of the program is to:
- take assessments to measure risk of falling
- educate the participant on fall prevention
- learn exercises specific to fall prevention
- build confidence and reduce the fear of falling
Participants will meet twice a week for 6 weeks and learn exercises that will improve:
- strength
- balance
- reaction response time
- power
- agility
- coordination
- confidence
Meeting Days/Times/ Fees:
May 23 - June 29th*
Monday + Wednesday
11:30 am - 12:30 pm
$180*
*Note: This will be a 5 week session - no classes will be held the week of Memorial Day. The price will be prorated to $150 for this 5-week session.
