Dom was a ranked junior player from Texas and went on to compete collegiately at Rollins College, where he was a proud member of the 2001 NCAA Championship team — a foundation that has informed his coaching philosophy ever since.
With over two decades of experience in player development, he has built a reputation as one of New England's most respected tennis coaches. He began his coaching career as Director of Junior Tennis at Northshore Country Club (2005–2007), followed by his role as Director of the Tournament Training Program at Seay Tennis Center (2007–2009). In 2008, he founded DI Tennis shaping the careers of competitive juniors at every level.
His coaching has been shaped by training under renowned professionals Dave Anderson, Steve Smith, and Carlos Goffi. That expertise has translated directly to results: his students have gone on to become Massachusetts state champions, top New England juniors, and nationally ranked players.
He holds dual certifications from the USPTA and PTR, and earned a Mental Toughness certification from the Human Performance Institute under the guidance of Dr. Jim Loehr — a credential that reflects his commitment to the psychological side of high-performance tennis.
His contributions to the sport extend beyond the court. He served on the Board of Directors for USTA Quick Start Texas (2009), represented the USTA Competitive Training Center in Texas (2006–2009), and was honored with the USTA Junior Team Tennis Sportsmanship Award in 2007.
